Ruby
Welcome to Ruby Class' Page!
In Ruby Class, Miss Oughton is the class teacher. The Learning Support Assistants in Ruby Class are Mrs Godfrey, Mrs Huckle and Miss Rouse. We are all looking very forward to teaching your children this year and watching them progress in their learning.
This year we will have PE on Mondays, so please bring your child to school wearing their PE kits. Their PE kit should include black jogging bottoms (or shorts in warm weather), red t-shirt and black trainers (no laces).
The children will be attending a Forest School session on Friday afternoons so please send your child to school with wellington boots (or old trainers you don't mind getting muddy), a long rain coat or puddle suit, long trousers and a long sleeve top/jumper.
Children will be able to access the stimulating outside environment as this is an amazing area to learn in. We will be going outside in all weather so please ensure that children are equipped with a suitable coat and outdoor accessories in colder weather (hat, gloves, scarf). We also encourage you to send your child in with spare clothes to keep in their lockers in case of any accidents or if your child gets muddy/wet when exploring activities.
Autumn 2 Topic: Celebrations
Throughout the year we will be learning about lots of exciting topics. For Autumn 2 our topic is “Celebrations." The children will be developing skills and new knowledge linked to:
- Talking about the celebrations we might take part in with our families.
- Learning about celebrations from around the world.
- Understanding that people have different beliefs.
- Understand that families celebrate different events in different ways.
Please share any photos of special celebrations that you and your family take part in via Tapestry.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to speak to us at the beginning/end of the day or email the office.
